Isabella Colbran’s life is the main topic developed by Ragni. He’s going to speak about her life as a woman and not only as a singer. Peculiar things as the birth date of Isabella, born on the 28th of February 1784, bissextile year, for which reason she didn’t have the prerogative to celebrate her birthday every four years as Rossini did.
Biographers, as Radiciotti, never developed the whole Isabella’s life, neither her artistic work nor her sufference, as her solitude in Catenaso

Venerdì 30 novembre alle ore 17.30, presso l’Auditorium di Palazzo Antaldi (via Passeri, 72) si terrà l’ultima delle tre conferenze del ciclo Rossini amicizie, amori, testimonianze.
Questo incontro, a cura di Sergio Ragni, si intitolerà Isabella Colbran – Isabella Rossini.
Di Isabella non si parlerà solo come grande interprete e prima moglie di Rossini, ma di fatti che ben pochi conoscono, se non gli addetti ai lavori. Come il fatto curioso che Isabella vede la luce il 28 febbraio 1784, anno bisestile, e per poche ore non poté godere del privilegio che toccò a Gioachino di festeggiare il compleanno ogni quattro anni.
I biografi, come ad esempio il Radiciotti, non approfondirono tutte le vicende che accompagnarono Isabella, aspetti sul fronte artistico e umano o la solitudine a Castenaso.
In questa conferenza saranno riportati alla luce questi e altri aspetti della vita di Isabella ai quali Sergio Ragni ha dedicato il suo tempo e l’amore per la grande interprete.
